With the No. 2 overall selection, the Super Sonics chose University of Texas freshman small forward Kevin Durant, who had a season to remember in 2006-07. He led the Longhorns to a 25-10 overall record by averaging a team-high 25.8 points and 11.1 rebounds per game and was named the NABC Division I Player of the Year. But the accolades didn’t stop there. The 6’ 9” phenom was also named the Associated Press College Player of the Year and became the first freshman ever to receive the Oscar Robertson Trophy, the Adolph F. Rupp Trophy and the John R.
